How do I check if my browser has Cookies
enabled?
You normally do this by checking your browser's
options. This will depend on the browser you're using. Instructions for
some of the more common browsers are given below:
Internet Explorer 6.0x/7.0x
- Click "Tools" on the menu bar
- Select "Internet Options" menu item
- Click "Privacy" tab
- Move slider from "Block all cookies" to any other setting.
Internet Explorer 5.0x
- Click "Tools" on the menu bar
- Select "Internet Options" menu item
- Click "Security" tab
- Move slider to "Medium"
Firefox 1.x for PC
- Select "Tools" > "Options" menu item
- Click the "Privacy" panel, and then click on the "Cookies" tab
- Check the "Allow site to set Cookies" box
Firefox 1.x for Mac
- Select "FireFox" > "Preferences" menu item
- Click the "Privacy" panel, and then click on the "Cookies" tab
- Check the "Allow site to set Cookies" box
Netscape 7.x for PC
- Click "Netscape" on the menu bar
- Select "Preferences" menu item
- Click the arrow to expand the "Privacy & Security" category
- Click "Cookies"
- Click "Allow all cookies" or "Allow cookies based on privacy settings"
- Click "OK"
Safari 1.x for Mac
- Click "Safari" on the menu bar
- Select "Preferences" menu item
- Click "Security"
- Click "Only from sites you navigate to" next to "Accept Cookies:"
